Halloween Costume Ideas?
Filed Under Random | Leave a Comment
Is it too early to be thinking about my Halloween costume? I don’t think so! I know girls that have already bought theirs for this year. Some of them even have 2 or 3 lined up. I feel so behind!
I’d really like to do something original this year. You know, a departure from “Slutty _________”. That was so last decade. It’s time to take it up a notch.
What I would really like to do is be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. I know, not original at all. I’m allowed to be a hypocrite. At least I’m not talking about being a sexy Dorothy or anything like that. Plus, its a relatively easy costume. I already have pretty much everything except the red sequin shoes, but I can find those easily enough I’m sure. Finding a tin man, a scarecrow, and a cowardly lion might be a bit tougher, though. Maybe I should stick to thinking of a costume that I can wear independently without needing any of my friends as accessories.
Do you have any suggestions? I sort of want to stick to something classic. I mean, I don’t want to do anything too topical. I’ve never been a big fan of costumes like that. Except one time a friend of mine dressed up like Sigfried or Roy or whichever one it was that was mauled by a tiger…and he carried around a little white tiger all night, while dressed in torn up bloody frilly clothes. That was pretty hilarious! But yeah…I don’t want to do that. I know I’m difficult.
Please feel to leave me any suggestions you might have below. I promise I will take them into serious consideration! I only ask that you take my wallet into consideration. I don’t want to buy like 15 new things to put my outfit together. Thanks!
Rock Revival Jeans Review

You know I love me some jeans, right? At least, if you intend to call yourself my friend, I would hope you already knew that. Anyway, today I’m going to talk to you about a designer that up until a few weeks ago I hadn’t even heard of. Allow me to introduce you to Rock Revival jeans.
At first you might be thinking, “whoa, that sounds a little too similar to Rock & Republic for comfort.” That is a fair observation, but when you look at these jeans and try them on, you’ll see they have little in common with the more popular ‘R&R’ jeans than the fact that they like to name styles after well known musicians.
Actually, Rock and Revival jeans look and feel more like Laguna Beach jeans than anything else I’ve seen. The pronounced stitching and pocket designs are very similar, in my opinion.
I have to say, however, the actual fit and feel of Rock Revival jeans is superior to that of Rock & Republic AND Laguna Beach Jeans. I know that’s a pretty bold statement, especially from someone who cares deeply about Rock & Republic jeans (and who has recklessly invested in them, over the years). But it’s true.
The only gripe I have with Rock Revival jeans is that they are inconsistent with sizing. I mean, like more than usual, compared to other designer brands.
On a high-end denim scale of 1-10, I give these babies a solid 8. Nowhere near becoming my favorite designer, but still pretty darn high up there, especially for a brand I just discovered recently. Where have I been, anyway? Anyone know of any other awesome brands I should be aware of?
